In this module you will learn the various delivery methods of infusion therapy that are available in the home setting. Upon completion of the module you will be able to identify and describe the catheter type most suitable for the infusion ordered. You will gain an understanding of the appropriateness of the vein chosen as it relates to the compatibility with the infusate. You will be able to identify the various rate control devices and what they are used for and be able to calculate the infusion drip rate for infusions without a control device.
