DCEHC Decontamination show details
This course was developed by the DC Emergency Healthcare Coalition, or DCEHC, as a best practice model for hospitals in the District of Columbia who may face a hazardous materials (HazMat) decontamination incident from a few victims to a larger mass casualty response. By standardizing procedures for victim decontamination we can ensure the highest of standards for each facility and facilitate the exchange of personnel and equipment should that become necessary. This course will consist of SiTEL modules, lecture review, skills practice and simulation.

HAZMAT BASICS show details
HazMat Basics will familiarize the participant with essential terminology and principles of hazardous materials response. Topics include principles chemical, radiological and biologic incident response. Other issues addressed include the risk of hazmat response and the essentials of setting up a decontamination sector.
