About this Module: This course focuses on defining a central line infection, outlining the MedStar Health’s Central Line Infection Prevention Standards, the care of the patient receiving a central line, insertion, maintenance, and removal of a central line.  Only individuals who have received appropriate central line training are eligible to assist with insertion, maintenance, removal and care for patients that have a central vascular catheter.
