Training on feedback strategies, enhanced learning and teaching methods, as well as program specifics is crucial for optimizing success of clinical specialists, mentors, and mentees within the MedStar Health Physical Therapy (MHPT) network. The Mentor Training course will prepare attendees for future growth as mentors and leaders within their clinics and regions. The course, consisting of evidence-based training strategies, will be led by the co-coordinators of the New Hire Mentorship Program. Attendees of the course, consisting of mentors and clinical specialists across the MHPT region, will gain numerous benefits including a strong understanding of optimal strategies in preparing novice therapists for enhanced clinical growth and communication. Additionally, attendees will gain and demonstrate knowledge of program specifics, including frameworks, agendas, and goal development for each scheduled meeting.
