This module reviews the role of technicians in the obstetric department in supporting the care of patients with hypertensive disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Emphasis is placed on recognizing common warning signs and risk factors, accurately obtaining and reporting vital signs and patient symptoms, and promptly communicating concerns to the nursing and clinical team. The course highlights how technicians contribute to timely identification of potential complications, assist with patient monitoring and safety, and support the care team during urgent situations, including hypertensive crises. Through this training, learners will strengthen their understanding of their responsibilities within the interdisciplinary obstetric care team and the importance of rapid communication and escalation to ensure patient safety.
