OB Safety Education for Nurses and Providers: PPH in ED Assessment show details
This assessment challenges Emergency Department nurses and providers to apply evidence-based best practices in the recognition and management of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) in high-acuity settings. Learners will strengthen their ability to quantify blood loss accurately, identify both early and delayed PPH, initiate and prioritize time-sensitive pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, and escalate care rapidly and appropriately within the ED environment. Detailed feedback reinforces current clinical guidelines, supports interprofessional teamwork, and builds confidence in critical decision-making during obstetric emergencies.
