Incorporating Resilience Building into Speech Language Pathology Work with Patients following a Neurological Event Description This talk will discuss resilience as a skill that can be practiced and provide an overview of the concept based on the positive psychology literature. The main focus will be on how to apply these concepts to neurologically impaired population, many of whom have experienced a life altering medical event. Speaker Jessica Clark, PhD is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist (ABPP-CN) at MNRN with a broad background in neuropsychological assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. She works with patient populations that include individuals who have sustained brain injury, cerebrovascular accident, brain tumors, dementia, and/or other neurological and psychological disorders. She also has experience in concussion evaluation and management in the private sector, with veterans, and professional athletes.
