This OnDemand course is for all practitioners who place, care for and remove central lines. The presentations incorporate the steps of the central line bundle as recommended by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement for reduction of central line associated bloodstream infections. MedStar Health joins those best practice central line programs by holding ourselves, and one another, accountable for the kind of care that is reflective of the MedStar Way—care that ensures the highest quality, safest care for all our patients wherever they may be in our health system. MedStar Health is also moving to a true safety culture where everyone in our organization is empowered to raise their hand and “Stop the Line” when they see a violation of any process that has been put in place to protect our patients.
