Pediatric Developmental Norms

Objectives

  • Describe typical development of fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, speech, social and play skills in children aged 0month to 18 years
  • Understand average vital signs and medical milestones for children aged 0 months to 18 years
  • Identify signs of atypical development (e.g., psychological disturbance) for children aged 0 months to 18 years
  • Provide appropriate therapeutic intervention for children aged 0 months to 18 years in their area of specialty, given knowledge of normal and atypical pediatric development
