MWHC End of Life: Death and Dying

Objectives

  • Identify factors that affect the patient’s and family’s as well as the nurse’s beliefs and perceptions regarding end-of-life care
  • Identify resources for support and advocacy for patients, families, and nurses during and after end-of-life
  • Recognize signs and symptoms of impending death
  • Understand postmortem care process and proper documentation per MWHC standards
