  • Gain an understanding of the connection between emotional responses and their impact on behavior, known as Behavioral Manifestations of Internal Responses (BMIRs), in conversations with patients and colleagues.
  • Understand the value of calibration of one’s content, tone or demeanor in conversations with patients and colleagues based upon recognizing BMIRs.
  • Understand and appreciate that management of one’s state is an essential component of conversations with patients and colleagues.
  • Understand and appreciate that making others comfortable results in better and more meaningful interactions with patients and colleagues.
