Objectives
- •STATION 1: Positioning and Latch. Participants will learn and demonstrate skills related to breastfeeding positioning, latch evaluation, and evaluation of milk transfer.
- •STATION 2: Hand Expression and Alternative Feeding. Participants will learn and demonstrate skills related to hand expression and supplementation using alternative feeding methods.
- •STATION 3: Breast Pump. Participants will learn and demonstrate proper use of breast pumps.
- •STATION 4: Promotion of Breastfeeding. Participants will review breastfeeding policy, discuss skin to skin techniques, and describe rooming in/newborn bath measures to facilitate initiation of breastfeeding.
