This course offers Continuing Professional Education credits. To claim the credits, the course must be completed prior to December 31, 2023. This is a train-the-trainer course designed for clinicians eligible to be proctors for the MedStar Health Central Venous Line (CVL) Course. The course includes a prerequisite video outlining the role and responsibilities of the proctor. The live portion of the course includes instruction from “Lead Proctors” on how to teach the use of ultrasound, central line insertion (internal jugular and subclavian techniques) and central line removal. Additionally, the "Lead Proctors" will teach how to run the CVL Practice and Testing Sessions, including the use of adjunct equipment (such as the iPad for completion of the standardized CVL checklist).
