General Objectives
- Participants will be able to examine, evaluate and diagnose various musculoskeletal and medical conditions in the athletic population.
- Participants will review risk factors associated with various injuries.
- Participants will be able to utilize tests to determine risk of injury.
- Participants will be able to design and implement injury prevention programs to minimize these injuries.
- Participants will be able to design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan to rehabilitate athletes with a variety of different conditions in preparations for safe return to sport.
- Participants will review sport-specific return to play criteria and be able to utilize criteria to make recommendations for athletes with a variety of different conditions.
Course Objectives
- Evaluate and manage clinical presentation associated with common hip disorders and define performance outcomes.
- Develop and practice surgical skill access to the hip joint.
- Evaluate and apply arthroscopic and endoscopic techniques for hip disorders.
- Identify signs and symptoms of hip disorders.
- Understand conservative and surgical management of hip disorders.
- Prescribe conservative and post-operative management of hip disorders.
