General Objectives
Participants will be able to evaluate and diagnose various shoulder labral conditions in the athletic population.
Participants will review risk factors associated with various injuries.
Participants will be able to utilize research and tests to determine risk of SLAP injury.
Participants will be able to design and implement injury prevention programs to minimize these injuries.
Participants will be able to design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan to rehabilitate athletes with SLAP injury or surgery in preparations for safe return to sport.
Participants will review sport-specific return to play criteria and be able to utilize criteria to make recommendations for athletes with SLAP injury.
Course Objectives
Identify signs and symptoms of SLAP injury.
Understand conservative and surgical management of SLAP injuries.
Prescribe conservative and post-operative management of SLAP pathology.
