General Objectives

Participants will be able to evaluate and diagnose rotator cuff pathology in the athletic population.

Participants will review risk factors associated with various rotator cuff injuries.

Participants will be able to utilize research and tests to determine risk of rotator cuff injury.

Participants will be able to design and implement injury prevention programs to minimize these injuries.

Participants will be able to design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan to rehabilitate athletes with rotator cuff injury or surgery.

Participants will review sport-specific return to play criteria and be able to utilize criteria to make recommendations for athletes with a variety of different rotator cuff conditions.

Course Objectives

Identify signs and symptoms of rotator cuff disease.

Understand conservative and surgical management of rotator cuff disease.

Prescribe conservative and post-operative management of rotator cuff disease.
