• Define concussion.
• Utilize evidence-based criteria to determine who needs imaging in order to confirm or deny a more serious or life-threatening diagnosis (PECARN Head Trauma Algorithm, Canadian CT Head Trauma Rule and Canadian C-Spine Rule).
• Facilitate shared decision-making between the care team, patient and the patient’s family.
• Deliver appropriate discharge instructions to ensure proper follow-up care.
