Objectives

• Outline general concepts regarding return to play for individuals, teams, leagues and others in the setting of the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic
• Review current guidelines for return to play after COVID-19 infection
• Review the history of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 broadly, and its relationship to sports cancellation and return planning
• Understand the challenges involved in return to sports, and mitigation measures that can be undertaken to do so successfully
