Description
This course is designed to help guide clinicians in the evaluation, management and injury prevention of golf specific injuries. Many clinicians are faced with the task of treating one of the over 20 million people in the United States looking to get back in the game. The golf swing is a unique movement pattern that requires a balance of mobility and stability from head to toe. Muscle tightness, joint restrictions and poor body mechanics can lead to pain and often injury in players of all levels. When done correctly and effectively, pain can be avoided, and it can also lead to improved performance. This course will cover a simplified quick screening tool to assess common mechanical deficiencies and swing errors, as well as how to address those identified deficits can be corrected with exercises. Successfully working with golfers takes a team approach, with specialized trained healthcare providers and golf professionals.
This course offers Continuing Professional Education credits. To claim the credits, the course must be completed prior to December 20, 2024. Once your evaluation is complete, log on to https://medstar.cloud-cme.com and toggle to your Transcript to find the credits the next business day.
