- Discuss the Nursing Guidelines for student preceptors.
- Describe the student's scope of practice using the Dos and Don'ts as a guideline
- Identify common safety issues encountered by nursing student preceptors.
- Examine strategies to foster time management and patient care while precepting a student.
- Interact with panel of former/current nursing student preceptors and clinical group instructors.
- Identify key strategies to establish a safe, effective learning environment for the student.
- Utilize communication techniques that improve the learning experience.
- Verbalize key teaching and evaluation moments unique to the three stages of medication administration.
- Identify the resources available at MWHC for teaching and learning.
- Discuss the different types of feedback.
- Demonstrate effective constructive feedback using the 4 Es.
- Determine effective teaching strategies to use based on the lear
