Description
Different orthopaedic specialists will lecture on their areas of expertise discussing injuries, degenerative conditions, deformities, and specific treatment algorithms. Each specialty within orthopaedics will then have a period of case discussion and question and answer section giving the audience an opportunity to "Ask the Experts".
Objectives
- Remembering: Name four ligaments in the knee.
- Comprehending: Compare the different treatment algorithm for a meniscal tear in a 20-year-old to that of a 60-year-old.
- Applying: Would ACL reconstruction prevent future osteoarthritis of the knee?
- Analyzing: List strategies for preventing ACL injuries.
- Synthesizing: In what patient would you consider not reconstructing an ACL?
- Evaluating: What types of knee injuries always require surgical intervention?

- Paul Cooper is a board-certified orthopaedist specializing in the treatment of all conditions of the foot and ankle.
