  • Discuss steps to take when de-escalation techniques are not effective.
  • Integrate a team-based approach in the care of patients who are agitated or aggressive.
  • Manage agitated or aggressive patients, and maintain patient and environmental safety with increased confidence.
  • Utilize acquired knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses and psychopharmacology to improve nursing confidence in managing behavioral health patients.
