Objectives
- Practice of inter professional mutual education, where each profession educates learners in other disciplines of current practices in his field and scientific rationale for these advances.
- Develop a personal habit of continuous lifelong knowledge acquisition with direct applicability to patient care, replacing old methods of care and procedures with new proven approaches that will improve patient outcomes.
- Distinguish between an unavoidable poor patient outcome and a failure to utilize best practices in the setting of an adverse patient outcome.
- Apply the knowledge gained from the discussion of the care of an individual patient to the care of future patients within the framework of best practices and hospital policies.
- Utilize case presentations, applying adult learning principles, evidence-based literature citations, audience engagement and measured improvement in sequential experiences.
