This course familiarizes the learner about neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), the medications most likely to cause NMS, the five cardinal features of this disorder, and the importance of immediately contacting the provider with suspicion of NMS. The learner will also be exposed to how to care for the patient with NMS.
