Education training for on-boarding new staff to the SBIRT screening
Objectives
- Identify people early in pregnancy to decrease and eliminate substance use behaviors
- Improve maternal-child engagement and bonding to promote healthy child development
- Increase access to substance use treatment and recovery support
- Increase support for pregnant and postpartum women who have a history of high-risk substance use
- Promote healthier birth outcomes for baby through changes to substance use during pregnancy
