Description
This course offers 7.25 Continuing Professional Education credits to Nurses. To claim the credits, the course must be completed prior to December 31, 2024. Once your evaluation is complete, log on to CloudCME® from your left SiTEL menu, and toggle to your Transcript to find the credits.
Accreditation: In support of improving patient care, MedStar Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Credit Designation: This activity is approved for 7.25 ANCC contact hour(s). Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
About this Course: The purpose of this workshop is to share the philosophy, governance, and processes of preceptorship. The overall goal of the program is to empower learners to be able to communicate effectively, and to utilize the expertise from the clinical settings to verify competencies of the preceptees. Attendees must be approved to attend by their PCM/Director.

- Demonstrate use of competency evaluation and documentation tools.
