New Hire Proper Instrument Care Attestation

During the case, periodically clean all used instruments and instrumentation with Sterile Water to rid them of gross bone, tissue, and blood
Establish my sterile field EARLY enough to check the integrity of all instruments; to include but is not limited to all cannulas, trocars, lumens, etc; ensure that ALL major components of each instrument set required for my case are present and accounted for
Set up the back table with a large basin filled with Sterile Water, labeled accordingly
Spray all instruments and instrumentation with the Enzymatic Spray; if I do not have Enzymatic Spray readily available in my room, I (or the designee) must call a PSA to bring a bottle to the room and restock the POD/Supply Room
Upon completion of the case, visually inspect all instruments and instrumentation for gross bio-burden and remove the bio-burden before taking items off of the back table
