This course offers 1.0 Continuing Professional Educaton credits to Physicians, Nurses, PA's. To claim the credits, the course must be completed prior to December 31, 2024. Once your evaluation is complete, log on to CloudCME® from your left SiTEL menu, and toggle to your Transcript to find the credits.
Accreditation: In support of improving patient care, MedStar Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

About this Course: This live interprofessional activity will engage residents, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists in learning about common pediatric emergencies via simulations. It will be led by PICU and ED attendings.

- Identify roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team involved in the collaborative care of a pediatric patient presenting to the Emergency Department
- Understand how to use and where to find emergency equipment.
- Demonstrate practice in caring for pediatric patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
