Objectives
- Communicate openly and effectively with the patient, support people, and additional healthcare personnel in the event of intrapartum emergencies and transfer.
- Identify and respond appropriately to immediate postpartum hemorrhage in the community setting.
- Identify and respond appropriately to imminent birth in the community setting.
- Review steps of emergent postpartum transfer and test transfer systems in a simulated environment.
