This course offers 3.0 Continuing Professional Education credits to physicians,PA's and nurses. To claim the credits, the course must be completed prior to December 31st, 2025. About this Course: These are simulation education sessions for our Bioconatinment Unit - the unit that must be prepared to take patients with special pathogens (ex: Ebola). Simulation education sessions will include donning and doffing personal protective equipment, performing procedures (including high-risk, low-frequency procedures), and management of decompensating patients (including adults, pregnant adults, and neonatal resuscitation). Learners will receive direct immediate feedback and feedback at the end of each session.

Providers (physician, APPs) will gather to apply their knowledge of caring for critically ill patients (adult, OB, neonate), who may be infected with a highly contagious pathogen.  This course will build off of previous training experiences where learners will be expected to appropriately don/doff PPE and perform procedural skills during a simulated patient care event.
