This course has been designed to teach an evidence-based approach to resuscitation of the newborn. The causes, prevention, and management of mild to severe neonatal asphyxia are carefully explained so that health professionals may develop optimal knowledge and skill in resuscitation. The Neonatal Resuscitation Program is an educational program that introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation. Completion of the program does not imply that an individual has the competence to perform neonatal resuscitation. Each hospital is responsible for determining the level of competence and qualifications required for someone to assume clinical responsibility for neonatal resuscitation.

Requirements:

1. Registration on SiTELMS is mandatory. It is recommended participants register on SiTELMS prior to taking the online exam to secure an available seat for the course.

2. Registered participants will read and be familiar with the NRP Course & Cancellation Policies found in the Brochure.

3. This is a self-study course. Participants are required to purchase/borrow the NRP 7th edition textbook. You may borrow the textbook from your hospital medical library or purchase a textbook or e-book from the AAP website: www.aap.org/bookstore.

4. If you are an individual wanting to purchase the NRP 7th Edition Exam  

5. All participants are required to submit a copy of the certificate of completion of the online exam to the instructor at the beginning of the course. No participant will be allowed to enter the course without this document. *Additional questions?
