Description
This course is designed to observe system function and staff response in a code blue emergency for various populations. Participants will respond to an unannounced code blue scenario. Following the resuscitation process, debriefing of the team will be lead by members of the MedStar SiTEL Code Blue team. The debrief will focus on team management principals, the use of SBAR, HRO principals and the application of the appropriate American Heart Association guidelines. The goal is to improve not only teamwork and communication but also the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage a code blue.
