- Describe common barriers to implementing bedside shift reports and effective strategies to overcome them
- Develop a plan to train and support frontline staff in adopting bedside shift report practices on their units
- Explain the importance of updating the patient’s whiteboard as a tool for communication and care coordination
- Explain the purpose and benefits of bedside shift report in terms of patient safety, communication, and patient engagement
- Identify key components of an effective bedside shift report, including patient involvement, confidentiality considerations, and documentation
- Model proper bedside shift reporting techniques through role-play and simulation exercises
