Leadership 201: Advanced Leadership Development: The Catalyst for Leading Others
Saturday-Sunday, November 15-16, 2025
Course Description
The Leadership, Advocacy, Management and Practice (LAMP) program goes beyond clinical experience to address the needs of physical therapy professionals in leadership and management skills. LAMP courses may be offered as pre-conferences at the annual APTA Combined Sections Meeting, and as in-person or virtual programs scheduled throughout the year. Led by well-known presenters, these courses are designed for all healthcare professionals. Past participants have included PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, physicians, nurses, human resource managers, coders, educators and others in the field.
The dynamics of the healthcare work environment are changing rapidly, making strong leadership more important now than ever before. Leadership doesn’t require a title. You can lead up, down and across your team. However, to be a successful leader, you must first be your own follower. By understanding your own core values, personal mission and vision, and communication and conflict resolution styles, you can ensure that you are leading others with authenticity. Whether you are developing a career or are an experienced health care manager, you’ll find this course powerful and gamechanging.
