This course offers 4.0 Interprofessional Continuing Education credits for nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists/pharmacy technicians. To claim the credits, the course must be completed prior to September 23, 2025. About this Course: The clinical simulation activity will educate advanced practice providers (PA's/NP's) working in the Emergency Department. Topics and skills reviewed may include basic airway management and intubation, lumbar puncture, central line placement, and splinting orthopedic injuries.

- Demonstrate insertion of a central line into a simulated model.
- Demonstrate the proper technique for performing a lumbar puncture on a simulation model.
- Describe the types of splints and their appropriate uses for different orthopedic injuries.
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of the members of the healthcare team involved in emergency care.
- Perform endotracheal intubation in a simulated setting.
- Review rapid sequence intubation (RSI) medications used in an endotracheal intubation.
