About this Course: Welcome to the OB Safety Education: EFM Microlearning. This is a series of twelve microlearning activities focusing on the interpretation of electronic fetal heart monitoring tracings. In this activity, you will interpret the following:
- Baseline fetal heart rate
- Baseline variability
- Accelerations
- Decelerations
- Uterine contractions
- Tracing categories
Objectives
- Apply NICHD standardized terminology to accurately describe and interpret electronic fetal heart rate patterns.
- Enhance clinical skills in the systematic interpretation of electronic fetal heart monitoring (EFM) tracings to support safe decision-making in obstetric care.
