This course offers 7.0 Continuing Professional Education credits to physicians, nurses, PA's, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. To claim the credits, the course must be completed prior to December 31, 2025. Once your evaluation is complete, log on to CloudCME® from your left SiTEL menu, and toggle to your Transcript to find the credits.
About this Course: This event covers critical care/emergency medicine invasive skills performed by MedSTAR Transport clinicians. The content will provide didactic training, refresher education, and will assess and validate competency in areas related to Invasive skills, ventilator use in transport, and pacemaker use in transport. Infant, pediatric, and adult patients will be discussed and mannequins and cadavers will be utilized to practice and perform invasive skills as allowed by protocol.

- Apply appropriate ventilator management strategies during patient transport, including troubleshooting and adjusting settings based on patient condition.
- Demonstrate correct technique for performing invasive procedures such as intubation, surgical airway placement, and transvenous pacing per current protocols.
- Integrate clinical knowledge and team communication to effectively manage high-risk, low-frequency scenarios in a transport environment.
