• Access and complete required preoperative nursing documentation, including scenarios in which an inpatient or emergency department patient bypasses the preop area.
• Accurately document and manage the Pick List for surgical procedures, including understanding automatic picklist generation for emergency-scheduled cases.
• Differentiate between the quick-overview preop documentation requirements and the full preop nursing documentation workflow, and identify when to reference the extended training.
• Document intraoperative nursing care, including accessing perioperative documentation records and completing the intraop workflow.
• Navigate and interpret the Perioperative Tracking Board to monitor case progress and patient flow.
• Schedule a surgical case in SurgiNet, including use of the Case Selection screen to filter and search for scheduled procedures.
• Schedule day-of-surgery cases, ensuring appropriate generation of Preop, OR, Anesthesia, and PACU documentation from the scheduled case.
