Clinical competencies enable the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) team to assess nursing associates' ability to integrate knowledge, technical skills, professional attitudes, and core values when delivering care in real clinical situations.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs): Are required to complete a three-hour annual competency demonstration focused on unit- specific clinical skills, which includes Safe Patient Handling (SPH).

Important Reminder: Please ensure that the competency bundle aligned with your specialty area is fully completed prior to attending your FY26 Nursing Competency session. Completion of these modules serves as your entry ticket to the in‑person competency event. Even if you have registered for a time slot, you will not be permitted to participate if verification of module completion is not available.
