Objectives

  • Demonstrate readiness to respond to hypertensive emergencies in pregnancy through effective clinical decision-making, communication, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.
  • Describe evidence-based management and prevention strategies for hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, including timely ED interventions and appropriate disposition.
  • Recognize and classify hypertensive disorders in pregnancy by identifying risk factors, early warning signs, and applying appropriate diagnostic criteria in the Emergency Department.
