Description
This presentation will review the role of PM&R consults in the acute care setting. We focus on patient's baseline and current functional status, rehabilitation potential, and barriers to recovery. We help identify and document prerequisites to rehabilitation; and address barriers such as pain, spasticity, and debility. We work closely with the primary team, case manager/social work, and therapy teams to help facilitate discharge planning to rehabilitation.
