  • Discuss the components of accurate documentation including cannula sites and complications on the report sheet and EMR.
  • Identify the equipment and material needed during the sequence of cannulation for cardiac surgery.
  • Recognize potential complications during cannulation and be prepared for difficult access, displacement, and bleeding.
  • Recognize the importance of your role during cannulation in cardiac surgery.
