About this Course: This live course will demonstrate procedural competency and confidence in critical emergency medicine procedures including techniques of pericardiocentesis and cricothyrotomy approaches and equipment, balloon esophageal tamponade device placement and fiberoptic intubation, pre-procedural analgesia and anesthesia needed for successful fiberoptic intubation, and understand order sets for fiberoptic intubation set-up.

- Demonstrate procedural competency and confidence in critical emergency medicine procedures.
- Differentiate techniques of pericardiocentesis and cricothyrotomy approaches and equipment, dependent on situation and resources.
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of team members.
- Indicate balloon esophageal tamponade device placement and fiberoptic intubation.
- Review fiberoptic intubation and understand order sets for fiberoptic intubation set-up.
