About this Course: The Behavioral Health Escape Room is a learner-paced simulation designed to instruct participants about the process of handling the patient’s personal belongings. The simulation includes many aspects of process used for patient’s personal belongings: money, personal belongings, phones, inventory practices, documentation, documenting jewelry, and the process for opening and resealing the belongings bag. Also included is clarifying roles and responsibilities of communication.

- At the completion of the course the learner will be able to: Discuss the process for counting, documenting, and securing patient money and valuables. Demonstrate the inventory process for a patient’s personal belongings. Complete the Personal Belonging documentation, including legible writing and signatures. leadership. Document patient jewelry using the correct verbiage. Discuss the process for retrieving phone numbers from the patient’s phone. Discuss the process when having to open the patient’s valuables bag, for any reason.
