About this Course: The MEP Spring Symposium will host several speakers on pertinent and timely topics to review with emergency medicine staff. This iteration will include a case series on pinnacle topics from emergency departments across our system, STI's and emergency contraception, artificial intelligence effect on clinical practice, insurance guidelines on emergency care, and peri intubation care.

- Create awareness for peri-intubation of patients and discuss best practice.
- Create awareness of insurance coverage that could affect the emergency department patient for prescribing, procedures, and diagnostics.
- Describe MedStarGPT and its ability and function to enhance clinical care.
- Describe STI guidelines and treatment as it relates to risk of disease and symptoms.
- Identify changes to federal funding and any impacts on private insurance companies in the last year and upcoming and how this will potentially impact patient care.
- Identify emergency contraception options in the emergency department.
