Description
The course provides clinical education, training, and competency assessment of skills essential to delivering high‑quality care for women and newborns across clinical environments, including labor and delivery (L&D), postpartum, well‑baby, and the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Instruction incorporates current evidence‑based science and best‑practice principles to support safe, effective, and compassionate direct patient care for women and infants.
Skills assessment requirements will be validated at the end of the training to ensure associates demonstrate appropriate return demonstration.
A variety of teaching strategies—direct, indirect, independent, and interactive—combined with simulation and learning technologies are used to promote engagement and retention. Associates will receive reference materials to support ongoing learning. All will receive documentation of completed training at the conclusion of the course.
